A Study of Aerobic Work Capacity and Serum Lipid Levels in Female Middle School Obesity and Athletes


Abstract
To compare the value of TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, and aerobic work capacity, we examined the six of obesity group and the seven of athlete group average ages 14.2 years. We, first of all, computed skin fold thickness, body mass index, and body fatty rate. The obesity group had 32.9 mm of the skin fold thickness that was 141% more than the athlete group. Also, the obesity group had 141.7% more body density and 41% more body mass index than the athlete group.
When we compared TC, TG, LDL-C with aerobic work capacity (Max V02) t between two groups, the obesity group had 17.9% (172.2+8.7 mg/dl) more TC, 82% (141.7+59.76 mg/dl) more TG, and 34.8% (316.7+32.3 mg/dl) more LDL-C, 34.76% (37.4+4.6 ml/kg min) more Max V02 than the athlete group. These results appeared that the level of TC was little lower, LDL-C was higher than the level of the America College of Sports Medicine. Considering with the TC versus HDL-C (3.5:1) and TG (100 mg/dl), the level of TC was almost border line and the level of TG was higher. Moreover, the studies of the Italy showed that the levels of TC and TG in ages 13-16 years were 175 mg/dl and 75 mg/dl. These results could be the cause-effect of the adult disease. Therefore, they need exercise which makes energy balance to negative. That could be reduction prescription which make our life to be healthy and predict adult disease.
